The Air Guard 300 condenser cage is ideal in applications where the pad extends to the building and mechanical lines run down from the attic.
Typically these mechanical lines are covered by a metal plate, so to accommodate this protrusion the guards’ to panel is cutback to clear the cover plate and/or lines. The guard is then oversized in length to come within a few inches of the building. Guard lengths can be made up to 54” long.
When the guard is in the closed position, not only is the condenser protected but the mechanical lines as well. This type of application prevents a dead space between the building and the guard, eliminating the need for unnecessary grounds maintenance.
