SECURITY STORM  DOORS:

  1. Manufacturer: All Weather Steel Products Salt Lake City Utah
    Marathon Model 4800 double screen or approved equal
    (All substitution must be approved at least 10 days prior to bid date.)

  2. Master Frame:

  3. Master frame constructed of 16 gauge galvanized. 1X2 steel tubing, Members are then fully welded into a rectangular shape, then 2 horizontal mullions of 16 gauge galvanized 1x2 mild steel tubing are fully welded at a horizontal orientation .All welds to be ground in a two stage process initially the weld shall be ground with a 60 grit pad then finished with a 120 grit pad to ensure a smooth finish.

  4. Kick panel, 1flat 16 gauge electro galvanized steel sheet .The plate is bent at two 90% angles to allow the kick panel to be inserted into the frame assembly, while the flange rest on the back surface of the frame The flange is then fastened by screws at 6" centers.  Kick panels shall be coated prior to the doors assembly to ensure coating has covered the entire surface.

  5. Hardware:

    1. 3-7" steel H hinge w/ brass bushing and non removable pin secured to the doors master frame w/tamper proof Roberts head screws painted to match the doors color.

    2. Deluxe Wright Products #333 push button storm door handle with interior locking lever.

    3. Closer heavy duty Phnuematic with a deluxe storm chain.

    4. Installation screws shall be #10 x 1 Roberts head tex screws factory baked finish to match the doors color.

  6. Screen:

    1. 2 #12 mesh .028 dia. 304 Stainless Steel screen cloth shall be attached with a .750 x .500 16 gauge galvanized steel retainer welded at each corner, inserted into the frame assembly fastened by screws at 6" centers.

    2. The stainless steel screen is bent at two 90 % angles to make contact with both side of the angle.

    3. Stainless screen shall cover the entire top portion.

    4. Stainless screen powder coated black.

  7. Casing Assembly:

    1. 6065 .060 T-5 extruded aluminum and expander are factory baked enamel finish.

    2. Top and sides of door is sealed by the means of zbar and pyle weather-stripping. The zbars shall be attached with prehung clips to simplify installation.

    3. The bottom of the door is sealed with a u- shape expander with extruded grooves to receive two polyvinyl seals, which is adjustable to meet the various heights and meet   the doors threshold.

    4. Zbars shall be attached with #10 x 1 Roberts tex screws with a prepainted factory baked finish to match the door color.

  8. Finish:

    1. All steel parts including doors master frame kick panels and screen retainer shall be finished by first applying a phosphate treatment for adhesion and rust inhibitors to its entire exterior surface.

    2. The prepared surface is then coated with a urethane powder coat finish.

    3. Finish coat with a urethane baked powder coat finish.

    4. Finish to be tested and exceed 1500 hours of salt spray.

  9. Packaging:

    1. The door is first protected by a poly bag, to prevent moisture, then fully enclosed with 200lb test cardboard. Attached with poly vinyl bands at two places.

  10. Warranty:

    1. Master frame lifetime warrantee, guaranteed not to loosen, sag, or separate.

    2. Kick panel lifetime warrantee, guaranteed never to be forced from its pocket.

    3. Pull Handle lifetime warrantee against breakage.

    4. All other components (excluding glass and screen) including paint one year from the date of purchase.

    5. All parts return for inspection and replacements FOB S.L.C.
